Former Timber Rattler Juan Ramos has joined the CBT staff as a pitching instructor. Ramos was originally a non-drafted free agent in 1994 and pitched 5 total seasons in professional baseball. In 2000, he threw 58 innings for the Timber Rattlers, recording a 6-3 record with an impressive 2.78 ERA. Originally, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Juan resides in Neenah with his wife and 4 children. His son, Avery, plays on the 17U CBT team and attends Neenah High School. Juan will focus on our high school age players and help them develop their skills, mental abilities, toughness & overall physical fitness to allow them to excel on the mound.
Cavaiani on Ramos: "It's not often you get a two for one in the fact we obtained a great player in Avery Ramos, and now to have a former pro in his dad with such great experience playing is just a great asset to our players and program. Most importantly, Juan is a great person and fits perfectly into what we do and what we are here at CBT. His knowledge of the game and in particular pitching and his ability to teach proper and safe strength and conditioning to all of our pitchers is a huge plus for our program."
