A recent graduate of Marian University, Ben pitched for the Sabres before an elbow injury ended his career early. A Kimberly High School graduate, Ben has coached various age groups for CBT from 12U to 17U and coached our 17U team this past summer.

Most recently, Ben was named the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Ripon High School in Ripon, WI. At only 25 years old, Ben is one of the youngest varsity coaches in the state of Wisconsin.

This year for CBT, Ben is taking over the 12U CBT team in addition to his duties with Ripon High School.

Cavaiani on Destiche: "Ben reached out to me several years ago about getting into coaching and I knew right away due to his quiet and confident demeanor that he would be a good addition to our program. I had coached Ben for several years during Ben's playing days and eventually cut Ben from one of our older teams. To see Ben understand the reasons why, not hold a grudge and still want to work and coach with me showed me a lot about who Ben is as a person. It showed me he has reason, toughness, perseverance and a willingness to understand and forgive those that he may not agree with. That stood out to me right away when he reached out. Since then, he has been a valued member of our coaching staff for many years now and I couldn't be more proud to have him on my staff and we're really proud of him accomplishing so much in such a short period of time."​​
